I am trying to install Oracle 8.05 silently, there is lots of documentation for Unix based system however there is no documentation for a Windows based install. I have successfully made a .rsp file by specifying "orainst /rspdest newinstallfile" however when I enter the corresponding line "orainst /rspsrc newinstallfile" it just flashes up the installer and does nothing. Can anyone help? Is there a way to have the 8i installer generate a response file automatically, If I can't get 8.05 working I can use 8.1.5. Thanks in adavnce.
